Oli Savill is from Lisbon - Portugal , and has been an active
percussionist on the London music scene since 1992. He is a master
at both Brazilian and Cuban forms, as well as many other styles
including jazz and funk.
He started his musical career playing in traditional Brazilian
percussion groups and later studied at the C.N.M.P. in Havana, Cuba.
Over the last 14 years Oli has played, recorded and toured with
various artists from around the world, such as Airto Moreira,
Sly and Robbie, Pet Shop Boys, Lulu, Zero7, Smoke Xity, Dom Um Romao,
Gary Barlow, Basement Jaxx, Tony Allen, Osvaldo Chacon, Ive Mendes,
and together with Liliana Chachian and Dalata, co-wrote
the much acclaimed 'Songs From Tin' album.
Oli is currently co-writing and recording for a new project with
Liliana Chachian.
