Holder of a first-class honours degree from the Royal Academy of Music and a Perrier Award winner, Gwilym has been rated as one of the most exciting musicians in the UK (and some have gone as far to say 'the world').

Born in 1981, his astonishing youth has not prevented him from playing with the cream of the music world including: Kenny Wheeler, Dave Holland, Tim Garland, Stan Sulzmann, Iain Ballamy, Julian Arguelles and Tim Whitehead, as well as leading his own groups, ranging from a Trio to a forty-piece ensemble featuring Choir and Chamber String Orchestra.

His current projects include the outstanding and original jazz/ classical crossover band Acoustic Triangle and the Bill Bruford Band (former Super 70's group 'Yes' drummer).

Gwilym is equally at home playing latin jazz, classical piano or French horn. (He has already toured with Kenny Wheeler's band on both instruments!).
